No tracking
The website has no analytics, trackers, advertisements, contact forms, accounts, or behavioural profiles. It does not sell personal data or make automated decisions about visitors.
No cookies
No cookies are used. Your light or dark theme preference may be saved only in your own browser using local storage. It is never sent back to this website. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data.
The loading screen uses only the browser's normal file cache. It does not store a visit marker, identifier, or browsing history.
Tools stay in your browser
The Steam review generator processes your entries in your browser. They are not submitted to a server or saved by the website. Copying the generated text to your clipboard happens only when you choose the copy button. Publishing that text elsewhere is your decision.
No CDN or third-party assets
Every asset used by this page is served locally. No CDN, remote font, embedded tracker, or third-party script is contacted when you visit.
Hosted in Switzerland
The website runs on a VPS administered by the publisher, hosted on Infomaniak infrastructure in Switzerland, with Nginx handling incoming web requests. It does not use Infomaniak's managed Web Hosting service. The site sends no visitor information to advertising or analytics services.
Server logs
Serving a page requires technical connection information, including an IP address. Nginx access logs record the IP address, date and time, requested URL and HTTP method, HTTP response status and response size. The standard log format also records the referring page when supplied and browser information sent with the request.
The retention period is seven days (604,800 seconds) from the recorded timestamp. The same deadline applies to all server logs, including archived copies, which are deleted at that deadline. These logs are not used for audience measurement, advertising, profiling, or tracking visitors' browsing habits. Information is disclosed to competent authorities only when legally required.
Infomaniak may separately process infrastructure-level technical data to provide its services and meet its own obligations. These provider operations are distinct from the website's Nginx logging configuration. See Infomaniak's privacy notice.
Contacting me
If you email me, your address, message and any information you provide are processed through my email provider, Tuta, to handle your request. Correspondence is kept only as needed to respond and follow up, or to meet an applicable legal requirement. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Contacting me through Discord instead is subject to that service's own privacy practices.
Questions and your rights
The publisher, Askanen, is the contact for privacy matters: askanen@tuta.com. Where data-protection law applies, operation and security and responding to correspondence are based on legitimate interests. Retention or disclosure required by law is based on the relevant legal obligation. You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, and object to processing, subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law. You may also complain to the CNIL.
Following an external link or sending a message involves the service you choose. Those providers apply their own notices and may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area.
